MacDonald accepts suspension

September 9, 2011  |  by

Daniel MacDonald has submitted an early-guilty plea to the Football Federation of Victoria (FFV) in relation to his misconduct charge.

MacDonald was initially charged with a R6.3_2 offence, which carries a penalty of Auto + 6 games, however having considered the matter and the degree to which MacDonald’s suspension may have been reduced, the Club and MacDonald agreed that it would be best to accept the charge.  MacDonald is now subject to an Auto + 5 game suspension, of which he has served one week.

The outcome is disappointing, as both the OCSC and MacDonald feel that he has been harshly penalised for the incident.

MacDonald will miss the remaining games of the OCSC 2011 Season against Keysborough (h) and Caulfield Cobras (h), together with Round 1 of the Mirabella Cup and, depending upon the results and fixturing, Rounds 1 and 2 of the OCSC 2012 Season.
