The Football Federation of Victoria have recently released the fixture list for Provisional 2 S/E 2011 season. This season will mark the 10th anniversary of the club, and Old Carey will certainly be very keen on improving on their 10th place finish in 2010. More details of the Old Carey “birthday” celebrations will be released in due course.
Old Carey kick off the campaign with a Friday Night away fixture under lights against Monbulk (1 April 2011). This will be the first competitive game in charge for new senior coach Bill Kotsabouikis. It should provide an early test for him and the team against Monbulk, who were plying their trade in Provisional 1 in 2010.
Due to the unavailability of Wilcox Field until Round 4, Old Carey will have a difficult beginning to the season, with away games to Monbulk, Casey Kings (formerly known as Berwick Kings) and Endeavour United. However, Old Carey will then enjoy a stretch of 4 home games from rounds 4 to 7. Rounds 15-20 will also prove tough, with Old Carey fixtured to play 4 away games in 5.
Please note that this fixture is subject to change.
